Possibly a silly question, but I’d normally replace in pairs:

I’ve got a puncture on a non-reparable section of a tyre , both are showing 7mm of tread. If I stick a new one on of the same make and model this would be OK right – no tracking/handling issues? I’m hacked off enough at having to spend £000 on a tyre has plenty of life, let alone replace 2!

Tyres are on the front axle.

Cheers
Matt

Absolutely fine. Might feel a tad funny until the new tyre wears in but fine thereafter.

With 7mm left I would deffo just buy the one replacement, it won't do any harm.

Non-repairable, or not repairable by a high street outfit?

Depending on the value of the tyre, might be worth your while looking for a repairer who specialises in "major repairs"
