You mean Whernside,(2415ft) one of the Yorkshire three peaks along with nearby Ingleborough and Pen-y-Ghent?

I expect it's just the same as it was a thousand years ago...smile

That Capri Mk3 1.6GL has been modified over the past 33 years. Yes I am an old-Ford anorak, but I can tell the subtle changes. Nice resto though. smile
My Capri in the photograph was about a month old at the time.....smile

Here's my previous one, a 1978 Mk3 3.0S...

I certainly doesn't look the same. If you follow the line of the hill from the left it gets to that knobbly bit & then just doesn't get much higher, in the first pic it goes about twice as high after the knobbly bit.

Aliens?

Did you specifically ask the man in the background to wear a white top and black trousers? hehe

Ahh, the 3-litre Capri!! Can still hear the rasp of a cammed-up Essex V6 running a Holley 390 through freeflow twin tailpipes.

Had a 78 V6 Ghia manual BSE325S and a warmed-up(!!!!!!) Mk3 3.1S JHS15T years ago. Several others and some 2.8s but they just weren't the same.

Same hill, different angle. Looks like the first shot with the Capri is a bit before the junction as the sign is one advising there's a right turn up ahead whereas the later picture is actually at the junction.

Or am I stating the bleeding obvious? Waits for Parrot
