Why use such toss Mk4? Nice Mk1 and lovely Mk2, then a lardy boring Mk4. Granted, the Mk4 was never the best of the bunch but talk about stick the ugly sister on stage. Nice Anniversy would have been better, not like there are not many of them.

New model is loosing its look ever more, just a bland box now.

God that's dull! I love that they had to put 'New Car' plates on it lol

Your mk1 looks lovely though! Surely that must have got more attention!??

Oh, and where's the mk3? I know its known as the point at which Golf's got 'lardy' but i do love a VR!

Lovely Mk1 GTi.

How much is it worth? Proper appreciating asset - or at least a proper hoot to drive.

Should have been:

Mk1 GTI Campaign in red
Mk2 GTI 16v 2 dr in Oak Green
Mk3 VR6 Highline 2dr in Purple
Mk4 R32 3Dr in Deep Blue Pearl
Mk5 GTi Edition 5 Dr
Mk6 R in Black 2Dr

Mk7 - shouldn't have bothered biggrin

I am biased as have owned a lot of my choices......

Lovely your MK1 Driver OP, that and the MK2 are by far an away the coolest cars there.

Christ the MK7 is a dull looking car, although still a marked improvement on that MK4.

The only slight niggle I can pick with that list is the ED30, has to be 3 door for me, other than that, absolutely spot mate, even down to colours!

It's not a GTi. It's 'just' a Driver. But an amazing car nonetheless and probably a better prospect than 85% of the Mk1 GTi's out there.

Presumably the 'new car' reg plates are necessary as the only means of identifying the new model over the previous.
