Looking through the classifieds, its a hell of a lot of bang for your bucks, in either disguise.

Sure, the interiors are wholly uninspiring but dynamically I've seen few bad reviews on them and lots of good ones.

I'm struggling to see a reason for not chopping my E92 325i in for one.

Its a jap car, wont get my heart racing like a german no matter what. Suspect many people feel the same thing hence prices.

Some may say the opposite. More Jap cars get my pulse racing than German cars.

You obviously don't spend enough time licking dashboards.

They do represent good value for money, and look far more exotic than the price suggests. I'm getting a bit bored of mine now though, I'm yearning for a V8.

If it wasn't for my Monaro, I'd have a Z without question, simple as that. smile

German and Japanese? Both excellent in my opinion - back on topic, yes OP, you'd not go wrong with a 370Z.

In fact, give it 6 months and I'll be looking at getting one. The interiors are actually quite nice too..... Plenty to choose from. Good luck.

Yes, the other one staring you in the face at the 370z 14-18k price range, is the VXR8. But drop down to the 350z 7-10k price range, and I think I'd sooner have the z than the equivalent Monaro at that price. And that's from me, a massive Holden V8 fan.

It's true what people say about the difference between jap cars and Germans, in so much as there is a clear difference. I would say the topic of excitement is subjective though. A glimpse into Jap car culture and indeed the Motorsport activity of Nissan for example, reveals a great deal of excitement. The bat-mobile Le Mans car, sticking Gran Turismo console players in racing cars, putting GTR underpinnings on a Juke etc. And I currently have a 3 litre, 6 cyl, RWD coupe which is German and cost me 13k and I can tell you, there is nothing exciting about it.

Don't be revolting, Darling! I wouldn't lick a German if it was glazed in honey.

I never had a problem with the interior of my 350Z back when I had it, I can't see what the fuss is about?

Good cars, it took some serious stick on track & elsewhere & never needed a thing doing to it-utterly faultless.

That's typical rubbish from blinkered German car fanboys. What's wrong with the car residuals when the car took slightly over 3 years to reach the 50% depreciation mark.

If you look at BMW prices. I'm afraid you'll find they're shocking for depreciation unless your talking about a 10 year old M that's starting to level out (like any performance car of that age really).

Don't really like the (import) 350z but been given the 370z as a courtesy car and I'm really surprised by how much better it felt.

Sure, the interior doesn't have the German quality but otherwise its a pretty fun car. Tail happy too smile
