Hello chaps

As the thread title says I've got a few things that are wheel based needing done and was wondering what order I should get them done in. The things are:

New tyres on all wheels
Alloy refurbishment (Paint is blistering and previous owner apparently liked grinding curbs)
And finally the wheel alignment needs sorting.

So what order should I ideally get these done in? Over to you!

If you have a good tyre fitter who you can trust to take care if the wheels, have them refurbished first, put the tyres on and then get the alignment done, that would be my preference anyway!

Have you got any spare wheels? If not then I'd be getting 4 new tyres from the Internet and take them to the alloy place to have them fitted after they've refurbed the wheels. Alignment last.

Wheel alignment first, then there is no chance of the mechanic chipping the freshly refurbished wheels with the alignment guages, when he attaches them to said wheels. Then buy new tyres, but don't fit them. Hand them in when you are having the wheels refurbished, and ask the refurb place to fit the new tyres when they are done, rather than the old ones. Voila!
This is how I would be doing it too.

Thanks for the replies everyone.

I was thinking something along those lines as well with the part about wheel alignment.

The place I'm thinking of using provides a set of wheels for you to use while your wheels are being refurbed so I can drop them in before work one day and then pick them up a couple of days later at my convenience.

I'd get the new tyres put on the old wheels.

Get the alignment done on the new tyres.

Then get the new tyres put on the refurbed wheels at the refurb place
