Getting to find a replacement for the Lexus quite hard. I have no idea what I want except better mpg smile

Spotted some ignis sports for not a lot of money what they like? They look like fun and a bonus of a set of recaro's. When I think about it, it will only be used maybe 400 miles a month so no real need for a barge been there done that enjoyed it but I fancy a fun car again.

Anyway what to watch for? Are they OK for people over 6'

Etc etc

Cheers for the advice

Never owned one but lusted for one for years. Never really heard a bad thing against them except for being a bit basic inside but I see that as a plus.

By all accounts they seem to be a fun, chuckable beastie that's reliable and good on fuel. They do need to be run on 98ron though so will be forking out for vpower every time you fill up...

Go buy one!

I looked at buying one of these myself as a cheap antidote to turbocharged hot hatches. By all account, a good drive, a lively, if not very powerful engine and great seats. Not enough power to overcome the grip available, so it should be grippy and give your plenty of confidence. Interior is a bit basic but who cares. Outside, well they look quirky but I doubt it's a shape whose beauty would haunt your dreams. The facelifted versions with the Evo style foglights look better.

I had one back in '04. Got mine new with the foglights (it did make them look a bit better!).

As has been said before, they are a bit basic but the recaros are good, you get aircon and the headunit plays MP3's (or at least mine did on a 54 plate). Strong engine, feels better than the quoted 105 or something bhp. Grippy, agile, and good fun to take by the scruff of the neck and throw about smile

Bad points - ride, it is / was really crashy over bumps and poor roads... And I mean REALLY crashy - even if you try and take it easy it still jarred.

Apart from that, I really enjoyed mine - got rid after some joker keyed it about 6 months into ownership and someone did a hit and run on me... Lost a chunk of cash but did get into a MK2 MX5 1.8iS after, which was fun!

Oh yes, I fitted in easily and I'm 6ft 6, so as a 6footer you should be fine! smile Good luck, enjoy and post some pics if you end up getting one!
