I've been having a few problems lately with my Vauxhall signum 2.2 diesel.
It's been a nightmare to start for several weeks.
I changed the leak off pipes, it did sod all. Replacing the injector seals would be the right thing to do, But it isn't too easy on the Signum, so i put an inline pump on it, I just wired it through the ignition and it seemed to help, But it wasn't quite right. So the next job was to check the glow plugs, Only one of them was slightly working. I then replaced all four glow plugs.
The car started like brand new.
I was that chuffed that i would switch the car off when i didn't really need to, Just so i could listen to it start.
The following day it decided not to start again. I just couldn't believe it.
It turned out that the brand new inline pump wasn't pumping, How unlucky is that?
New pump fitted (better make), and it's like a brand new car.

And here's a little tip, If your glow plugs arn't coming on, Then pull the wires to the temperature sender. put them back on when its started otherwise the fan will be on constant.
Strange that disconnecting the sender tells the fan to fire up like the engine is hot, but it tells the glow plugs to heat up like the engine is cold.
