Older car - check your brake lines!

My bloody landrover (Disco II) really doesn't like the snow.
In the brief flurry in December the compressor for the air suspension gave up the ghost and it sat on its arse, and today (before the predicted snow), it decided to piss brake fluid all over the road.
I was driving into the village to the bakers and the brakes felt a bit spongy, by the time I got to the bakers the pedal could get to the floor. Luckily I'm in Belgium so everything's flat round here. Gentle trip back home and up onto the lift.
The brake lines were fine where you could see them, but in between the body and the chassis, where loads of mud and s
t collects, they were completely rotten! Luckily they failed on a low-speed run to the village and not on a main road, or worse, towing a trailer (the main use it gets).
You need to be a gynaecologist to swap the brake lines on a Disco - I'm sure they run them along the chassis beams before the body goes on - but in just under 5 hours we swapped all the brake lines. Luckily I've got a well-equipped garage!
