As above really, a lot of people seem to change they're tyres at different times, and just curious what others do. My rears currently on around 3-3.5mm with MOT an MOT which expires mid-march so suspect they may need doing for that....not sure how many mm of tread they came with when new, but they've done almost 19k miles now which i don't think is too bad.

I thought most wear bars were set at 1.6mm, so surely the top two options are the same?

Interesting. I'll have to measure the various sets of tyres I've got lying around. smile

hehe

Mine are at 3.5mm all round, so I'm shopping/choosing at the moment, and once they get below 3mm or so I'll buy new ones. If this were August they'd probably make it to 2.5 or 2mm before I changed, but given the time of year it seems sensible to keep a decent tread depth, in lieu of actually buying winters this time!

I thought wear bars were usually set at 2mm as well, since there's little use only warning you when the tyre is already illegal!
