Well, its that nervewracking time of the year that any old car enthusiast will dread.
My main concerns are rust on the front wings, and some tyre damage.
The wings i'm worrid about as they are quite "sharp" and I know that is a reason for failure. There were mudflaps there last year, but they have corroded their way off, taking a chunk of the metal with them.

I might have kissed a kerb with the tyres, no cords are visible, and gouges are only a few mm deep. Personally, I think they are safe enough, and they is why they are still on. It would be a shame to bin the tyres, as they are fairly new.

Of course I'll ask the mot chap, but it would be nice to get a heads up before I have to spend more money on it.
Over to you thumbup

tyres will be fine, not sure about the rust - might be worth getting busy with some fibreglass and filler

No, but Id cover the rust up with Gaffa tape, neatly and with more than one carefully applied and trimmed layer.

I supose that that makes it a possible yes, but it depends on the tester to some degree.

I think you'll be fine on both but you could put some filler in the hole just to be 100%.

Don't put filler or fibo in the hole. Cover it with tape for the test, then once that's out the way and you get some spare time, actually cut the rot and make a repair panel.

Anything else is just burying your head in the sand and it'll only become worse frown

Great thanks, I'll most likely be buying new wings one year anyway, as they aren't very pretty in other areas.
Cheers thumbup
