Guy who drove up snowdon jailed
Discussion
He's acted like a complete neurotic a
hole and it sounds like a jail sentence might be in order, but making up 16 months' of dangerous driving charges for that is stupid. I think anybody would have quite a hard time arguing he actively endangered anyone by the act of his driving..
Sentence perhaps reasonable, but for disregard for public property and damaging areas of natural beauty, emphatically not dangerous driving.

what damage did he do to the railway?
He also denied that he had driven on the rail tracks of the Snowdon Mountain Railway, causing thousands of pounds worth of damage.interloper said:
The way that reads to me (strange notes and suicide threats etc), I think the guy in question needs mental help, not a prison term. Also the idea that driving up Snowdon is "dangerous driving" is complete nonsense.
too right he needs mental help..........a Frontera ffs!!!!!fjord said:

do you have anything to say he did?
By being found guilty?Unless anyone can find anything relating to the damage.
He could deny causing the recent snow too

Quite. For it to be dangerous driving the standard of driving has to be "far below" that expected of the average driver. To drive a 4x4 up a mountain in the dark I would think you'd have to be pretty damn good at it, frankly.saaby93 said:
t doesnt actually say he was guilty of that.

But it reads that he was found guilty of the offence of dangerous driving, which would have encompassed everything he did. Unless anyone can find anything relating to the damage.

Williams was handed a six month jail sentence for the first dangerous driving conviction, 10 months for the second offence, and a further six months for failing to answer bail at that start of his trial. The sentences must be served consecutively, making a total of 22 months behind bars.
Nothing about the denied damage to the railway. Was there any or is this the first time its come up?
