Buying someone out of a lease deal

A friend of mine took over a lease from someone with 6 months or so left (IIRC it was the remainder of a 3 year lease)

Anyone know where to look for this type of deal? A (different) friend of mine is looking to do something similar.

i thought there were legal complications that arose out of lease swaps that made it not realistically possible anymore... maybe just not possible as a business model, but you could still buy a mate out or whatever?

I'm sure Freedom Contracts had some on their site. Not cheap though.
