Apparently all new cars to have this feature in a few years. I see car jacking on the increase, I see kids playing chicken 'safe' in the knowledge that the poor motorists will stop. Why are we marching into sleepy automation like this?

Those future kids could get a shock if they step out in front of an old car then.

If you're being tailgated you will be able to repeatedly drop the anchors safe in the knowledge that they'll never be able to ram your arse.

The possibility are endless

I think the car-jacking is the biggest concern that I can see right now, especially in more dangerous countries.

There are places in SA where the only way to get out of a car-jacking situation is to aim for the bd in question and floor it. It's happended to me on more than one occasion and I was grateful that the tonne of metal I had at my disposal was not going to be stopping.
