The snow is coming down pretty heavy here now (North West England) and I've got an appointment 15 miles away in Liverpool that I cannot miss, later this afternoon. I've taken a day WFH whistle so that I can get to this appointment. It should be mostly main roads to get there.

Would you take the BMW with 300bhp on 19" run-flats with RWD?

Or, the MINI with 170bhp on 17" run-flats with FWD?

The man in me wants to take the BMW as I'm sure it won't be as bad as people say. I went out on Saturday, disabled all traction control, and it was fine. But the snow is a lot heavier today.

I'm sure the MINI will just cut through the snow, but again the run-flats won't help.

If I get stuck in either car I won't be able to deflate the tyres any.

You decide.

I know, first world problems.

Take the Mini. You'll still get stuck but at least you won't look like a total smile

Mini if you really need to get there. The Beemer would probably make it though, a lot of it is down to the driver.

Take the mini and a shovel and have fun.

The BMW will get stuck as soon as you lose momentum on a hill where the snow has been driven on / made icy.

My 335 on normal rubber was terrible, as were it's brakes due to the Abs making it useless on snow.

MINI it is then! Probably the sensible option.

Cheers
