Hi, new to this forum!

I am needing a new car!

I am 17 looking for a decent car to run about in for a year or so and would like recomendations of what to get. I did have a 1.25 55 fiesta but well ice and a tree got the better of her! something under £2k that i would be able to ensure that doesnt have millions of miles, any recomendations would be great.

cheers in advance.

You're 17 and already totalled a car? Surely all you'll be able to insure at this point is a bus pass?

The older model Fiestas are nice if a lot cheaper inside than a 55-plate one, but rust. The Rover 25 is pretty good too, provided the cooling system doesn't have any problems.

i know it is a noddy car in a lot of peoples eyes but i have a seicento and they are a really fun car, and cheap to run, fuel and insure. great feedback and fun on b roads.

the seicento sport is rated too just not very safe.

Also a polo 16v a look.

didnt claim for it so wont make a massive difference compaired to if I had. 30mph ice trees and a ditch didnt go well.

Depends though - if they ask "have you had a crash" rather than "have you claimed" when you apply, then the answer is Yes. If they find out otherwise at a later date, it's a bit of a problem.
I believe a certain Norwich-based company ask the latter, though...

I know people look badly on them but its the only car I've used daily and I would totally 100% recommend! Saxo 1.1, slow enough to keep you out of trouble, cheap enough to buy and fix if they break, also mine has been totally faultless in the snow! And I paid 350 for mine with 10 months mot and 5 months tax, if I had more than an ounce of sense I would keep it and save my money! Done 3,000 miles in mine since November and I can honestly say nothing has gone wrong! Plus for me it was cheap to insure, just about to turn 19 no previous experience and insured from the day I passed for 1600 fully comp!
