I have recently bought a 2004 Audi S4 Cabriolet. The previous owner to me has swapped the wheels and tyres for a much lower profile setup, and I would like to put it back to how it was originally. Does anyone know what the original wheels would have been, and what size, and also, is there somewhere suitable I could advertise my wheels and tyres in exchange for a standard set - is it against the rules to advertise swaps in the PH classifieds?

Any help appreciated.

Standard alloy wheels were 'Avus-III' die-cast aluminium alloy, 8.0Jx18H2 ET45 in size, and shod with 235/40 ZR18 95Y XL (eXtra Load) high performance tyres, with factory supplies being either Continental SportContact2 or Michelin PilotSport PS2.
I'm not aware of a reason you shouldn't advertise the wheels for swap on PH classifieds. You might get told off for going it in this thread, though. hehe

Alternatively, I suppose you could just buy a set of OEM sized wheels from ebay and sell yours there.

Thanks for your help.

I may end up selling mine, and buying someone else's; it would just be easier to find someone who would also like to do a swap.

I did see that auction, but seems a lot for what is basically a set of wheels in need of a £200 refurb, then another £400 odd for decent rubber.

Genuine wheels that aren't too common won't be dirt cheap and is always the case when you want them. Best bet would be to leave the car as is and just keep lolling until a bargain turns up.
