Practical performance car for £2k
Discussion
Hi all
Time for me to change car again and the great and good of PH always come up with a winner.
I'm no yoof unfortunately so a slammed and pimped hot hatch probably wont do it really.
For the above reason insurance isn't an issue, economy isn't that much of a worry as work is only a few miles away.
What is important is fine handling and performance in a package that will withstand normal daily.
Other than that let your imaginations run free

MR2 Turbo?
This, as long as you don't need 4 seats.I used mine as a daily driver for 3 years. Fit luggage for 2 for 2 weeks holiday in the boot, could fit my bike in the passenger seat and a couple more on a boot rack, hovered around 30mpg, comfy enough for long distance driving, bombproof engine as long as you don't go silly with it, handles great and goes like stink. I think I'd struggle to find something that ticks so many boxes (granted, there are a few it can't tick) for around the £2k mark.

If that was a manual I'd be buying it today. Cracking value! Gassing Station | General Gassing | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
