To be fair to them, I've been seeing signs saying this, and "don't hog the middle lane" for a couple of years on the English motorways, too.

There was a similar type of sign in Birmingham the other day reading "Keep your car smoke free".

Whilst I applaud the intention, it just doesn't seem relevant to traffic.

We're always moaning about the uselessness of those big light up boards. I'd quite like it if they show that sign more often.

Ive actually seen someone take notice. Was on the inside lane slowly catching a car hogging the middle lane (was nothing for him to overtake) was getting ready to pull out and go round him when he passed one of these signs and immediately pulled into the inside lane.

However i reckon in reality most drivers who hog the middle lane wouldnt even notice the massive signs, or think it applied ti them.
