which set of break pads should I be getting for normal road use, but sometimes hard braking like going for a hoon?

OEM or something else?

its for a mark4 fiesta, and its front and back pads.

I would have thought that OEM from ECP would be fine.

ECP don't sell OEM (branded anyway)

Mintex
Apec
Textar
Pagid

Are all more than fine for nornal road use.

PS - Mk4 Fiestas have drum brakes and shoes on the rear.

Go from OEM (proper OEM not pattern) and good brake fluid. Fluid is just as important as the pads!

If you want a really good fast road pad the DS2500 takes a lot of beating IME. They work perfectly from cold, and keep working even with red hot discs. There only downside is they tend to crumble at the edges of the pads if you get them stupidly hot.

They aren't cheap however (probably ~£100 per axle set) but then no really good brake pads are cheap (look at the prices of the high end Pagid pads!).

Make sure they supply you the right discs and pads - MK4s have a choice between solid and vented smile
