Just ran an insurance quote on one of the large price comparison websites for myself on exactly the same car that I have now, same details down to every single accuracy. Bought insurance for it about 3 months ago at price x - same comparison company now spews out a figure that is approximately 60% of what I'm paying now! Can I ring them up and ask them to honour this new quote with any likelihood of success? Any ideas why this might have happened? I am with Admiral, and the savings would be a pretty noticeable monthly change (I couldn't afford to buy upfront unfortunately).

Cheers!

It varies on a monthly basis.

Don't forget that new legislation about women not being allowed to have cheaper rates than men kicked in not long ago too.

Mine seems to be nearly 50% cheaper than last year, wife 30% more, but looks that way yes
