Wheel Wobble - Hand brake turn into kerb?
Discussion
Saw this idiot driving his car yesterday. Not sure how much you can see from the video but this rear near side wheel was wobbling like mad.
I suspect the idiot tried to do a hand brake turn and failed. also the tyre was bald ?

(extremely dangerous not to mention the noise of the exhaust banging about!)

Hand braking and slapping a kerb normally folds the axle/wishbone in so I would have expected more of a camber or toe problem leading to crabbing of the car as the driver compensates.
Your video is such s
t quality that I cant see if the tyre is bald or not, however driving on a tyre thats wobbling will dramaticaly increase wear so that would be no suprise.
Maybe the car was on the way to a garage to get the problem fixed?
If I was you, rather than videoing and laughing at the poor soul Iperhaps you should have pulled up alongside and let them know that the wheel was in a bad way and offered to help put the spare on (if the car has one?).
Further more a wobbling wheel is also a classic sign that the wheel nuts are loose and the wheel is about to depart- another reason for letting the driver know the problem.
Pistonheads, (s
t quality) videoing of a non event rather than helping matters.

He bent the wheel yet remarkably the car was undamaged. Got a new wheel from the scrappy and all was well.
He also once slammed the drivers door so hard when it wouldn't start that he shattered the window. It's fair to say mechanical sympathy wasn't his strong point. (It was out of petrol..!)
