My N/S xenon headlight was glowing a pinkish colour on Monday and now today when i turned my lights on the light flickers, as if TRYING to start up, but then fails.

As the lamp is trying to ignite would I be right in assuming that the ballast is fine and that it is just the bulb that needs replacing?

Thoughts?

when mine went that's pretty much exactly what they did, it was the bulbs on mine.

Great stuff, found some decent Xenons on ebay for £30.00 (NOT the £90.00 Halfrauds wanted!!!)

no worries, here's a vid on youtube of what they typically do when they fail. Some clever dick will be along to explain why they do this (summat to do with arc resistance i seem to recall, causing the ballast to freak out and re start)

be very careful when replacing the bulb, enough voltage in those ballasts to shoot you up in the air and do some big damage. This is definitely a situation to consult the manual and consult Google.
