Car alarms, insurance discount?

Right, I've got a 2000 200SX which is running NATS 1 alarm sofware I believe and it's a bit picky.

Rather than spending money sorting it out I'd rather get a good aftermarket alarm fitted or even a camera/data logger set up.

Does anyone know of any systems that are good, cost effective and insurance friendly? I've heard of some kits bringing a good chunk of money off the policy. My insurance is due for renewal at the start of Feb so having a nosey just now!

My insurers have never given a discount except for Tracker.

BUT have refused cover unless a CAT 1 Alarm / immobilizer is fitted to certain cars.
