Auto-electrician recommendations (Ford, west London)
Discussion
Hi
The heater fan has packed up on my S Max. The heater itself still generates heat, and the fan blows hard when the car is started for 2 seconds, but then stops and none of the buttons or touch screen controls "work". All of the evidence suggests it's an electrical fault rather than mechanical.
To get the heater unit out will involve stripping out the full dash (according to local, trusted independent and confirmed by Ford) and I'd like to be sure it's at fault (rather than the head unit for example) before doing that.
Is anyone able to recommend a good auto electrician / diagnostic chap that I could try? Of course Ford's answer is to replace heater unit and / or the head unit at huge expense.
I'm in west London, minutes from the M4, M40 etc.
Thanks, Simon
