Getting back on the horse (another what car, sorry)

Finally starting to enjoy my driving again after my accident last year and have started looking around for something practical, fun and entertaining to drive.
Things that have caught my eye so far
Monaro 5.7 VXR
Audi RS4 Avant B7
BMW M3 Saloon V8
Porsche 996 911 C4S (if you squint, you can see the practicality).
Not found anything else really, but stuck. I want something that is good to drive, which kind of rules out the Monaro, but I just love how it looks and staring at pics of my old one has got me wanting another.
Budget is 20K (ish). I've found examples of all of the above, any other suggestions? Only criteria, the wife has to like it.
