I got one of these about couple of years back and use it when I fill up at Shell.

Question is, how do you actually get a the money off vouchers?

Had a look at their website and it doesn't seem to give much of a clue. Tells me how to join etc, but not how to redeem.

I seem to have 15,000 points which a) I have no idea what it's worth or b) how to redeem them on anything

IIRC, you need to let them know that you want the money off vouchers, or else I think the points just accumulate and wait for you to use them on other frivolities.

Once you have told them, you seem to get a quarterly mailshot with your voucher within it - Assuming they have your correct address, of course.

Give them a call and see what they say.

These type of cards are usually only of use to people puchasing well over the average. Typically the normal pleasure/comute to work driver will normally accrue enough points for a keyfob over the course of the year. But don't quote me I haven't checked my facts.

You do it through the website and they send you a voucher which you swap at the garage for....a gift card for the shop of your choice. I think I got a B&Q one last time.

Thanks guys and thanks for the link - not sure how I didn't find it!

Weird thing is, I do seem to remember getting a voucher for £10 or whatever no long after I joined, then never again...

Seems as though 500 points is £2.50 so 15,000 points is £75 - better than a poke in the eye with a sharp stick I guess.

You need to choose the reward you'd like through the website somehow (can't remember how - I did it ages ago!). I opted for the fuel vouchers, which are received quarterly. I tend to get about £15-£20 each time and I use quite a lot of fuel!

I convert mine to Avios miles. Better (for me) than the odd couple of pound of filling up.

hehe

Just had a look. So I get 1 point for every litre of fuel and I have 15,000 points.

The fleet is mixed so if I average 15,000 litres at £1.35/lt...

Over 20 grand! yikes

Thanks Shell for the £75 back, glad to see how much you appreciate my custom biggrin

Morrisons are as bad, after using 500 litres you get a fiver voucher for shopping.
