Evo, Impreza, S type R

Basically I'm going to be changing my car soon and cannot seem to settle on what to go for. The evo and imprezas have always been that realistic dream car from the younger days and now that they are no more is it worth owning a good one before it is too late. But the dilema is the appearance of the jag in a recent thread tempted a browse of the classifieds. I've looked into the all associated expenses into the cars, and the time is right where fuel economy isn't really an issue. Just as they are two very different routes to go down and wondering if anyone has any ideas or experiences of these.

I ran a GB270 wagon impreza for 18months before my 50mile commute cripled me financially and I changed. I regret it big time. RB320s are only going to go up in value and are unbelievably capable so well worth a look if fuel isn't a concern. I haven't had any experience with Evo's as I was always a scooby fan. I'd have it back in a flash if I could but now have a bigger commute
