Which is the best daily driver?
Vote only for body style, model and marque in the thread.
Criteria are that it must seat four adults, be reliable, reasonable running costs (though for the sake of this thread purchase cost is not an issue), something you wouldn't mind parking on the street in a city centre, and something which will still put a smile on your face, though not necessarily through driving dynamics.

Best at what?
At being driven. Daily.General duties, shopping, lifts to pub etc. Not track days or towing horse boxes.
Personally I drive a sports car daily - through choice. If I didn't drive that then it'd be a 4x4. They are "best" for me, because they do what I want and more importantly are what I want to drive.

This thread makes no sense, the choice depends entirely on what sort of route the car is completing daily. I don't want a supermini for regular 100 mile + drives, and I don't want a massive barge for a 3 mile drive into town...
The car (as stated) is for general duties. 100 mile+ days are not normal unless you are rep or a 9-5 long-distance commuter. Then I would be asking for discussion on "motorway cruiser".Pretend your housekeeper is driving it if it makes it easier for everyone.

Hatch for me, the integrale is perfect, five doors, seats fold down. Fast, looks good, comfortable, easily parked.
The coupe barge delux is good but boot not that practicle.
The gay car is great on fuel but not very practical at all really.
Integrale - great shout for a DD! But would you leave it parked in town overnight? I guess not many would know - to most it is just an "old" car.The coupe barge delux is good but boot not that practicle.

Now you've made a way to make it relevant for everyone. My housekeeper commutes from the basement, so any car that's narrow, good at stairs and can be driven in handcuffs should do. Plug in hybrid or electric for preference, because of the lack of fumes. Tiny turning circle would be a bonus.
