Literally 10 feet from where I Park.

Wouldn't be noteworthy, If I wasn't pulling in after a 40 mile trip. About three miles before, very strange noise in 6th, increasing in volume. Into 4th, coax it into the estate, planning where to put it for easy access. Pulled into my road, stopped to let a car through, first gear, go to pull away, catastrophic gearbox failure...

Could almost kiss it for it going there though, rather than on the A421 in the pissing rain at rush hour..

Ah well.
