See here for more info:
http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/forumdisplay.p...

Please sign the petition on the Gov website here:
http://epetitions.direct.gov.uk/petitions/44858

The petition is in its infancy - so please sign up and lets open the discussion about the DVLA selling our details to members of the BPA stop this and the tickets and threatening letters stop too.

If you are the I can ignore then sign up for those people that worry themselves to death about this rubbish and eventually cave in and pay up!!

Is this to do with that "Parking Eye" debate? I got done by them last summer. Parked up in a supermarket car park for a couple of hours. Came back to a ticket from "Parking Eye". I read all the forums and advice about it and tried the suggested approaches. Didn't work. Had to cough up frown

HAD to cough up - why so? have a read of the links in my post - PI along with ALL the other PRIVATE PARKING COMPANIES are issuing speculative invoices for charges for you not complying with a Contract you have surreptitiously entered into when you drove onto the private land.

THEY ARE UNENFORCEABLE! check out the PPC (PRIVATE PARKING COMPANY) thread on the money saving website linked to above in my first post for more info and sign the E-PETITION for opening discussion to stop the sale of My, OUR, YOUR private details held by the DVLA...

Cant believe the amount of people coughing up in these circumstances - figures I suppose DIVIDED we loose out to this being the NORM in this country.....

I was told people are not interested UNTIL they get a ticket - then think its not fair! and you would be correct - we need to be pro-active....

I'm not a big fan of these private parking charges. Mrs and I got caught at Xmas and after my efforts to make her ignore them, she relented and paid up to avoid the stress of receiving demands (she is pregnant which is mitigation).

But having said that, how else can parking be controlled on private land without the current approach?
I guess barriers on every car park would be one way.

I would settle for a simple pay and display - But thats not the point, the point is the reasons PPC's exist is NOT to legitimately manage car parks that are systematically being abused is simple side step for many of the vehicle clampers that were banned from applying their trade in 2012 - I mean what else do this people have to do?

The whole business model is based upon an unenforceable contract breach you have allegedly committed. The whole approach is a farce

Your another one in the space of a few mins who has paid up - blimey no wonder its such an emerging sector in the uk

AND they say money is tight.....

WHAT EVER YOU DO DO NOT PAY THEM - Please note from OCT 1 2012 the RK is now liable if the driver is not known so saying you dont know the driver is no longer a defense.

Indeed - "had to cough up"....? Why? because they kept saying it over and over again?

Let me try that.

Give me £100
You have to give me £100
Really, i mean it, give me £100
Right you. Give me £100 now!
Give me £100 immediately
If you don't give me £100 straight away there will be trouble.

You forgot the last letter offering a reduced fee of £50 wink .

And it's may not will - also could appears fairly regularly as well, which is (oddly enough) not willwink .
