What's the brake pedal rubber getting ready for?

The rear window is odd too - surely if this were a problem every van in the country would get an advisory tongue out

Thats a good point about the window!

He means a new rubber. He was abit of a dimwit, even though I had a new GK ford one with me which I showed him, he still put it down. wker

Our Astra Van has a glass rear window, and a rear view mirror - but we have sign writing over the whole window so you can't see through it.

Didn't get an advisory last week wink

Shouldn't the airbag light be a fail?

Is it fitted to the car at the time of presenting the test? No.

To be honest you've only got yourself to blame for submitting such a shed for MOT - if you can't even open the bonnet for it to be inspected, loose bodywork, ABS fault, broken indicator, knackered windscreen etc etc. If I was testing it you wouldn't really be winning hearts and minds submitting a vehicle for a test that is clearly unfit and wasting my time (regardless of the fact that it's paid work, it's just pointless).

Even if you're not mechanically minded, surely the minimum is to check all the lights work, check under the bonnet for problems etc.

Unless he's just bought and wanted to know if it's worth even bothering fixing it. Although not being able to open the bonnet would prevent a full MOT test anyway, so not really worth it.
