Did

Now organising a trip to the North East for a T reg Escort at a grand total of £252.

I've got plans for the engine at a later date for my Quantum anyway, so I guess it'll be fun tooling around in it for a while. Last time I did this I ended up wth a strip light and a pair of Dellortos. Anyone done similar?

Don't belong in the same sentance IMO.

Still, an engine for peanuts, plus the body can be weighed in. Good luck smile
Ah, I missed out this

Admittedly my version of fun might be different to yours, but I'm still smiling

My bus to Glasgow leaves at midnight to go and collect my second "ahh fk it, why not" eBay car purchase of 2013.

Then it's just a case of driving a 35 year old Citroen 465 miles home.

I can add to this with a warning AVOID eBay with this attitude when drunk.... And looking at Watches or expensive pens or some great idea you have about a ride on mower..... Oh yes hands up high here errors made lesson not learnt though.

Thanks for the luck guys, I'm sure it'll come in handy.

It's a CX; always wanted one, just didn't expect it to be now.

Very nice, would love one, they seem to be fairly cheap on ebay too.

I made it back fine, 9.17 train from Sheffield got me in to Darlington at 11, guy picked me up and took me back to theirs to do the paperwork. Drive back was alright, with a laugh at the blowing exhaust towards the end. Just needs a new downpipe, so shouldnt be too much of a problem to fix.

Hopefully Mr W00DY is enjoying his drive down from Scotland

That makes three of us then. Seeing the silly prices even 4 door Mk2s go for these days even £1,252 would have been a bargain if it was a Mk2.

Bought a non running Gen 2 RX7 yesterday, which is going to be converted into a track car. I hope i can get it running or it'll be heading back onto ebay.
