Popped down to a local body shop today, whilst chatting i notice 2 Mclaren doors being prepped.
I asked about it and apparently its quite common for cracks in the composite to occur when closing the doors too hard.
Also £5k a door!

Is this a common thing? They have had to replace doors before apparently.

Anybody heard of this before?

I thought everybody did.

Find one without cracks and it'll be worth a few bob.

The mclaren is fine,

I've got the space shuttle back at the dealers though.

Damn ceramic tiles just keep falling off on re-entry.

I didn't even get a courtesy shuttle.

I made the butler replace mine out of his wages. I don't shut the door, I leave it open and throw him the keys to park it, so it must be him slamming it.

I've had to have my passenger one replaced 3 times now. Stupid hookers, slam the door every time they get in or get out.

I could just go kerb crawling in the other car, but the BMW just makes me look like I have a small penis and even more desperate.

They obviously misunderstood you when you asked to smash their back doors in.

That's poor service, who did you use? I took mine to Vandenburg and got a loan of one of those cute little Dyno-Soar things. Cancelled order apparently.

The cracked doors on my McLaren made me think twice about using my porcelain Veyron as my daily drive. But I decided, what the heck.

McLaren doors at a non-McLaren Bodyshop?

Owners must be repairing it on the cheap.

That's why I prefer my ferrari, watching cracks on a door is way more boring then seeing the car go up in flames!

I got fed up with using filler on mine, its too much like hard work,i find that just sticking some duck tape on the cracks does fine, mind you when i get it over 140mph it tends to come unstuck!
