Looking for a stiff sidewalled summer tyre (for a Forester STi, 225/45/18), and options are pretty thin now the RE070 has gone

I have tried the Michelin Pilot Sports and thought their soft sidewall made for a vague feel (grip levels and wear were second to none), but I have heard the PSS has been given a stiffer sidewall - anyone else confirm this??

Also - any recommendation for a RE070 alternative

Cheers

You can get quite a few runflats in that size, they should certainly fulfill your needs for a stiff sidewall.

I phoned Michelin - no change to the sidewall stiffness from PS/PS2&3's/PSS...

I'm thinking run-flats may be loud, hard & pricey from my experience on GF's Mini
