Thought this may be of interest to any PHers in Manchester.

I am very proud that the garage I use, Lockwood and Greenwood in Ashton-Under-Lyne, outside Manchester next to Junction 23 of the M60, has won the good Garage Scheme National 'Garage of the Year 2012'.

Check out the link below for details - previously they have been Subaru, Nissan and Rover/MG dealers so may be of particular interest to PHers who have Scoobies or Nissan 350z or MGs, but obviously they are happy to work on pretty much any car.

Dave Brown, one of their mechanics is a part-time race driver and raced in the Britcar 24hrs at Silverstone this year so they appreciate fast cars!

Over the last few years I have become good friends with Dave Greenwood, the service manager so mention Michael P if you decide to give them a call and I might get a discount on my next service! biggrin

That's odd. I'm sure Classic and Sportscar said that the good garage winner was in Melksham, Wilts.
It's in this month's issue with Rowan A's McLaren on the front.

Well it's on the website and I saw the awards today. Maybe that was another award or the regional award?

Did you manage to confirm this?

Ah, the Good Garage Scheme that, against manufacturer advice, uses engine flush on every oil change? Added expense, no benefit but keeps Forte in business. I'd rather go to Kwik Fit.
