I spotted this beauty of a Ferrari today...
Discussion
In my Dad's friend's garage was a red Ferrari 360 spider. 'Hmm, nice, who has the hairdresser's Fezza?' I thought, until one of the mechanics told us to come and have a look. This is what we saw;
Moulded engine:

Door handles full of filler:

Massive panel gaps:

Lovely brakes (Note the large amount of wheel weights):

Yes, they are plastic calipers and flimsy discs (That were on the wrong sides before the mechanic changed them).
Carbon wrapped mirrors:

Nice fuel filler cap:

Looks like this lucky guy escaped from Tesco:

Interior (Notice 'Toyota' on the windows):

As you can see, this car is beautiful, I was very lucky to have a poke around it.
Sorry if the images are the wrong way round, my iPhone doesn't like being helpful. I also forgot to mention that it had two tail pipes on either side. Only one pair worked.

The hairdresser's comment was tongue in cheek, not serious.

Is it an MR2? I thought the molded engine covers could only fit across the rear seats of front engined cars, how would it fit over the real engine in an MR2?
I presume so, it's what the mechanic said it was and the engine was definitely under it when he was welding the exhaust heat shield.I love the way the owners of these replicas seem to take the view that convincing people it's genuine is simply a matter of attaching enough Ferrari badges to it.
It's as if the sheer number of badges will somehow overcome the fact that it doesn't look, sound or perform like a Ferrari.
