If it works then why hasn't a car maker added one as standard to get better CO2 figures?

Yes, it will work on petrol, diesel as well as bottled methane and propane gas. If you attach LowGas to your waterline, it will keep limescale at bay too

I might buy one to go with my power stickers and fuel magnet..... I've got the power but I always want more mpg!

I will also be fitting my electronic supercharger this weekend, just wait for the noise!

Love the fact that the "Road Test" bit of their website compares "Manufacturers MPG" with "MPG With Gainex LowGas", and proudly declares a 15.3% increase. They carelessly seem to have forgotten to measure "MPG Without Gainex LowGas"... I'm guessing they might get exactly the same 15.3% increase. Well, 15.29999% increase to include the slight reduction due to the extra weight of some useless magnets.

I'm in two minds as to whether it should be left to the individual's common sense to save themselves from such hilariously obvious scams, or whether the authorities should actually crack down properly. It wouldn't be difficult. There do seem to be a number of such "fuel savers" and I guess enough people must fall for it for it to be worth knocking up a website and making a Blue Peter-style "product"?

Looks like this isn't the only fraud this guy is engaged in either:
http://www.asphalia.co.uk/contact.html
and he is promoting it beyond his own websites:

Actually, the more I google, I find this guy has got impressive pedigree for attracting attention to his, err, pseudo-scientific tripe.. biggrin

I got a similar fuel saving by filling up my car with petrol, but left handed, down on one knee with my head bowed, my right hand pointed towards the front of the car and singing the "go, go, go" bit from geased lightening.

Also after that I only used part throttle, block changed down to the gear I needed to pull away in and left loads more room in front of me so I didn't have to brake much. But I'm pretty sure my fuel saving dance is the main thing.
