What's your neighbourhood Poseur cruising around in these days? I'm sure we've all got one, desperate for attention. Ours has a 996 Cabrio.

One of the scooter kids in the village bought an MX5 with a body kit. But then he realised he could use it to go somewhere else, so he has. No one else seems to drive around slowly between the two shops.

What's the difference between posing and going out for a drive and appreciating your car then?

What about when it's a nice day, I've got the roof down & I have to go to a shop for something? Do I have to put the roof up because of somebody elses short-sighted opinion?

I've been cruising around with the roof down all day today. It has been lovely, does that make me an attention seeking poseur?! If it annoys you I hope so..

Sitting for a drink outside a bar off Park Lane, any number of Ferraris, Lambos, Continental GTs, Maseratis and other exotic machinery, round and round and round and round.

Makes for a pleasurable way to pass a beer or six.

Sadly not any more but the next place up the valley had some nutters who had what appeared to be a tank! Saw it going up and down every now and again. God knows how much fuel it used.

On the Kings Road in Chelsea, almost anything you can think of made by Ferrari, Lambo, Aston or Maserati. All frequently oscillating between 5-25mph in first gear (regardless of traffic), while the driver tries hard not to get caught looking around to see if anyone is watching him. They will continue this peacock charade back and forth all afternoon on the weekends, impressing nobody but Russian hookers.

It's the most tragic thing I've ever seen... And bloody annoying when you live close by and don't like spending all weekend with your windows closed.

You forgot to mention the single hand at the top of the wheel. Always the sign of a skilled driver.
