Just out of interest are there any standard cars out there that will beat a GT-R from lets say 0-100 for approx the same money, or come to think of it 5 x the money, not counting hypercars ofcourse. Now im talking about cars that can be used in everyday use, 4 seats, boot etc etc

You have defined the GTR, so unsurprisingly there's little that compares!

Chris Harris did a video comparison between the GTR and the M5 a while back, and it wasn't the Japanese car that came last.

Not many super cars can beat the thing to 100, what is the point of this thread?

I can't think of any for the same cash - could you buy an EVO RS450 brand new with warranty? It wasn't as fast anyway.
Brabus Bullitt/Rocket are loads more as well

Corvette ZR1 0-100 in 6.9 seconds.
Nissan GTR 0-100 in 7.8 seconds.

Granted the Corvette is more expensive than the GTR, but not by much.
Oops just re-read and saw the 4 seats/doors part never mind.

The new E63 Merc got clocked at 0-100 in 7.6 seconds that has to be pretty close?

Not the most recent model, 2012 update for the gtr will get to 100 in 7.1.

E63 is only 0.5 seconds behind then suspect it may draw the GTR in a bit after that as well...

I wouldn't really call the GTR a four seater.Yes its got for seats but you can only really use the front ones.

997 turbo is probably the closest.Four seats, not a hypercar and only about 1.5 times the price.

The GTR is a boring car to drive apparently - I know a couple of people who bought one and sold it within months.

Apparently its super fast but...... feels like your driving a Nissan Bluebird, it lacks soul!

I would still like to have a go though just to be sure but don't have any aspirations to own one.

Would rather take that wad of cash and buy a beautiful F355
