Recently my commute has gone from 18 miles of dual carriageway and roundabouts everyday to 50 miles of A roads, dual carriageway and roundabouts so is now costing me around £75 a week in petrol, so with the tax and mot about to run out on the E36 I am in need for a really really cheap mile muncher without being too basic and with space to chuck a couple of bikes or kids in.
I have browsed so many ads it is unbeleivable but this morning found this http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/2013... on my doorstep pretty much. I know it will be dull as hell but it has to be more economical than the 2.8 in the BMW right?

Any advice, mockery or suggestions gratefully recieved.

TIA

Jamie

I was doing 80+ miles a day in the Golf and most people thought I was crazy, at sub 20mpg. But if you going to spend a long time in the car surely your better off enjoying it.

That and cost to change how much better off will you really be.

That's unbelievably cheap. I hate big saloon cars, but at that price, even I am tempted!
