Had a similar situation, we went for lads weekend and it was good fun.

Saying that, it cost me a 3-day break in Barca later on that year, but hey...

As long as you make them aware that they have no say on anything during the trip then they should be ok, they may even learn something.

I went with 4 friends and 3 of us took our wives & girlfriends. My (now) wife enjoyed sitting at viewing points watching / photographing cars but my mates other halves got bored quickly. They enjoyed the trip as a whole though and would go again.

If they are outdoorsy they'll love it, cycling and hiking is great there. If not, definitely not, unless they like reading and beer.

It's a long way to any urban centre.

Go every year normally a group of about 30 mix of couples and lads up for just about anything works for us.

I voted lads only but I did a track day there with just my girlfriend and she loved it.

I've been to the Ring maybe 30 times over the years. Only once taken MrsC, and that was when we went on a long weekend to the Rhine and came back that way "just so she could see it". Did one lap with her in the car, fairly steady, and that was more than enough for her. We were there maybe 2 hours total.

By comparison, a mate once brought his wife on an otherwise-lad's weekend. Apparently, he "very much enjoyed" visiting the castle, finding new villages to have cups of tea and coffee, and shopping in Adenau. I'm quite serious.....

So, you decide.

Problem is, if your wanting to speak to the lads about cars and hang around engine Bays, you have to contend with the Mrs wanting to be entertained. Taking other women doesn't help as they generally hate each other.

Words of wisdom.

Laura's been with me before & is coming back over at Easter. She has absolutely no interest in cars but doesn't mind a couple of days there.

Last summer I took her to Brussels for a couple of data first & then went to Bruges after. We'll do the same at Easter, I'll do spa francorchamps while she enjoys some treatments back at the hotel, then a couple of days at the ring followed by a night in Bruges on the way home.

I took my wife for a second trip there, and taking her with me ever since. She seems to enjoy sitting next to me, like a rollercoaster junkie smile

There was a thread about this recently. I recall the comment "twice the price, half the fun" being used.

Exactly the same has happened when my mate brought his OH with us. She was bored and carried about for nothing. They brawled for two days and then left.

Depends on the woman. Come to that I know quite a few blokes I also wouldn't take to a track thing.
