A Renault Laguna coupe?

I remember the TV ad some years ago but i was thinking the other day i have never ever seen one in the flesh (and that includes a few Renault showrooms).

I always thought they looked pretty nice. Obviously i was in a minority there

There is or was one at the Renault dealer near my house for weeks. Nice looking car with more than a hint of Aston Martin at the rear. I'm guessing their sales figures are filed away next to those of the Vel Satis. To be honest, I don't see that many Lagunas full stop.

Yeah I've seen one that I remember, maybe 2. Not many though, still more than the zero Renault Wind convertibles I have seen on the road.

I think it's more of a case of not noticing them rather than them not being there, they're quite bland in the flesh

They only made them for 5 minutes. I agree, they are good looking cars - if you squint, and I mean squint , they look a bit like an Aston from behind, especially in metallic grey.

There is a house near where i live with 2 Vel Statis('s/es?) in the drive. I thought they looked nice, might get a picture of them.

I have seen a few! OK looking from the front excellent from the side and rear! I think the problem was that it was quite expensive and more of a cruiser! It was battered by the German rivals in sales!

I remember seeing one on the M4 near Newport. From a distance it genuinely caught my eye - looked fantastic. Not as good the closer you got but still much better looking than most other 'main stream' cars.

I saw one outside work a few months ago. Very beautiful thing. Shame the cheese chassis will impload on itself in a few years...

A national search on the Trader reveals a grand total of 66, they must have sold next to none in the showroom. Alfa 166 was more popular! £6,000 gets you a 100k 4 year old diesel example, not bad at all. However tomorrow it will be worth £3k.

It sounds like they bought all of them! They're nice cars though, perhaps a bit too far ahead of their time.

A friend ran one as a company car for about 3 years - think it was a 3.0 diesel with very high spec - nice car but he lives (mostly) in Belgium. Don't recall seeing many others over here...
