Ive used Black Circles on a number of occassions and can't fault their service but I have now found that a few other sites are coming out cheaper.

Firstly Mytyres.co.uk - Has anybody used these and what are your experiences

Secondly - Camskill - I have noticed a few thread where people have recommended these but a quick look on their site they dont offer the fitting service that black cirlces and mytyres offer - can anybody confirm this is the case.

If they don't offer the fitting service what would you normally expect to pay for 2 tyres fitted and alligned - Ive always used black cirlces so its always been a all in one price so please ignore my ignorance.

Camskill have the best prices... quite close to trade, in fact. However, if you don't have a tame tyre fitter the chances are your savings will be wiped out in fitting. £10 each is common, excluding a simple toe check/adjust (£40?)

Whenever I've purchased from Camskill the tyre fitters around where I live have charged £15 per tyre.

Factoring that in, I always find it hard to beat Blackcircle's fully fitted price. Their service is also faultless.

Camskill does me well!

Quick delivery and my pal will fit them for £10 a pop.

Last time I ordered tyres online, my local place fitted, balanced and re-valved them for free. smile

Dear dh,

I've used both Mytyres & Etyres.
Both for exotic Honda Jazzs smile
Etyres supplied & fitted Contis to Mrs Noise and my car at different times in work car park.
Mytyres for steel wheels + fitted winter Nokians supplied to my work and fitted by me when needed.

Both experiences were 100% +ve,

regards,
Jet

My local tyre shop matched Camskills prices inc fitting so try your local before you pull the online trigger !

As said, Camskill depends on your fitting cost.

I've used them a few times and pay £20 for fitting a set of four at my local place.

I have also used MyTyres a couple of times - the first time the service was awful, the second time it was fantastic.

Have used etyres a few times, they come and fit the tyres on your drive having 'phoned to make a suitable appointment with you (well, the guy who runs our local franchise does). Always been 100% happy, does a great job, price competative too.

I used to use Mytyres a lot until one monumental fk up on their part made me swear I would never use them again although I probably would, but looking, they are far from the cheapest these days.

Factoring in £10 per wheel to fit as well, It usually works out cheapest to use my local garage to supply and fit the tyres. I can get it done same day too and not have to rely on a courier to do their job properly.

Thanks for the response guys - PG never fails for a speedy reply - In reply to check my local fitter his normal words are 'We can't come close to Blackcircles so would assume camskill will be the same.

For what its worth there is a £46 difference in the fully fitted price to the delivered/not fitted so will ring about and see which it going to be better.

When asking about fitting, tell them you'll take the old tyres away so they don't have to pay to get rid of them. was £15 per tyre for my place but they do it for £10 when I take them.

Take the tyres to the tip for free.

Must be me but Mytyres, black cicles and the like are just not cheap anymore.
2 places near me undercut them every time.

I'll stick with Event tyres, turn up wherever I am and fit them, rather than me having to spend time getting them fitted elsewhere.

Camskill will fit them for the same as the online delivered price.

Only of any use if you live in West Cumbria though!

I've used mytyres and blackcircles. Mytyres because they had the odd sized ones for my MG and blackcircles because the wife likes the large number of club card points (live the dream!).local garage will fit for £12 a corner.

I had to shop around a bit to get a good deal on tyres for my car (215 55 R16 is a bit of an odd size) and as it turned out a local place was cheapest at £70 a corner fitted for some fairly decently reviewed mid-price jobbies. Online is quite likely to be a good deal but it won't always be cheapest.

I have used Camskill a few times in the past and can't fault them. However last time I needed tyres they didn't have the ones I wanted so I used....

http://www.tyretraders.com/tyres_home.html

Found them very good, great website. Only thing they took about five days to deliver.
