Rear spring spacers to raise ride height
Discussion
My SAAB 95 has always had a ride height at the rear that it too low, even when I fitted new rear springs, dampers and emptied the boot! The trouble is the ride height effects the rear camber and it will quickly wear the inside edges with the centres still having loads left. I've had the rear bushes done, the transverse links done, 4 wheel alignment - the works and it still does it as it has 2.5deg of negative camber per side. At its worse it was less then 10k for a set of tyres, now it's about 20k but still over £200 to change tyres that are only worn on the inside edge.
Mine has the Aero sport suspension which is about 20mm lower. I was tempted to fit standard springs to raise the height then found these http://www.ebay.com/itm/Saab-9-5-REAR-COIL-SPRING-...
It there anyone in the UK who supply such things, my google skills have failed so far?
I could get a chum to machine some solid rings up but I can fit these without having the strip the rear struts right back!
