Ok so I have a small fire, fire suppression, Security Company. Just me and 1 other guy and the apprentice. The time has come that he can be trusted to do a few small jobs, maintenance work and start jobs. Now van wise I have just ordered 2 new Transits customs. But I’m sure as hell not splashing out 20k on a van for him. He only has 1.5 years driving and he wills most likely use van at night as long as it’s his diesel he is running about in. Now I have a Fiat Scudo on a 96 plate sitting round the back of the unit. The thing has some cosmetic blistering surface rust. Now I was thinking of spending the weekend rubbing it down and priming it up and rattle canning the whole thing. I have 13 cans of Hammerite smooth white. Just want it to look presentable and be cheap as it will be getting rallied up and down the length and berth of the country and god knows what at the weekends.

Go for the crackle finish Hammerite. You know it makes sense. Toolbox blue is my suggestion, and the hammered finish will cover up any defects.

Why not try roller painting it? Rustoleum is the answer. There is a looonnnggg thread on club8090.co.uk which outlines how to do it and the finish you can get is excellent. Link below to thread.....

Worth a look as an easier alternative
