Just had my car insurance renewal through from Admiral, a fairly hefty £561-39. Seems a lot for a boring middle aged biffa with a clean licence, no claims and a Merc auto but hey ho, that's insurance these days.

Thought I'd ask our Meerkat friends to do a price comparison out of interest, and they seem to range from just under £500 to just under £700, making the Admiral quote about right.

Except one. More Than are quoting £329.38 with the same sort of excess! There's no personal accident insurance within that, whereas most have, but I have that separately anyway.

Seems too good to be true, anyone had any experience good or bad with them?

I'd go for it, but make sure you go over the policy with a fine-tooth comb - sounds like there could be a mistake in there.

I insured my ZR160 with them at 18 for £1350, all other prices came in at ~£7000. This was very odd as they wouldn't quote me at all on a Golf GTTDI, Fiesta ST and most surprisingly of all a ZR105 hehe

I put it down to a glitch on the system and bought it anyway, nothing came of it. After one year the renewall was substantially higher than the initial £1350.

This could be a similar kind of thing? I'd just buy it to be honest, I didn't really test their customer service but whenever I did speak to them I had no problems. IIRC their call center isn't UK based, could be wrong.
