Can any of you garage types tell me the difference between the 2 above services?

1 seems to be double the price.

A regas is what you get away with if there's no detectable leak.

I would expect the service to involve the replacement of all required seals and a full pressure test. (Although most of the regas machines these days do that as part of the process)

I wold take a re-gas to mean 'topping up' the system to a sensible pressure, mostly to see if it'll work again.
I would assume a service to mean a complete drain, pressure test then refill with the correct weight of gas and specified lubricant, and probably a leak detection dye. Maybe a replacement of the receiver/ drier.

Anything more is out of the scope of a service IMO.
