Did anyone on here go this week ?

My Dad had someone up there bidding on a motor for him, but pointed me towards an 03 4.2, 88K XKR that sold for less than £5400 including commission etc....

I was wondering what was wrong with it, if anyone saw it smile

it's a 10 year old car that's done nearly 100k and will probably do less than 20mpg
what do you expect it to go for in an auction?

I would of, if I'd knew pre sale.

I though me asking "What it was like ?" was a clue that I didn't know about it.

Perhaps I should have made myself a bit clearer.

Based on what the prices are looking like on the trader that is cheap...however you never know what they actually sell for.

At that money looks like about just over half of the listed prices on the trader, probably would have been a few grand in profit in it for a quick turn around.

That is what happens at auctions
cars like that won't go for a lot of money as there is no come back on it
a trader might be happy to put it up for £8-10k, but if he has to pay more than £6k for it he going to be nervous, a single fault on a car like that can end up costing thousands that they would have to pay out for or take the car back and refund

They do have a reputation for rotting away in unseen places. If good it's a cheap car but it would take a brave trader to tie up £6k in a car like that.

They look like plastic wheel arch extensions to cover the width of the wheel/tyre combo.
