Our 2008 Nissan Note is well maintained by me. It has now done 30,000 miles (city life - so speed humps etc).

Should I think about changing the shock absorbers all round any time soon? There are no problems to report, but I am thinking of those old (monroe?) adverts where they showed increased braking distances etc cos of poorly performing shocks. A new set (sachs make) all round is £190 (fitting free by yours truly).

What's your opinion?

Definitely not, completely unnecessary. On a little hatchback they're often good for 100k.

When it starts rocking like a yacht, then you change them, Before that its not needed.
