The tracking on my A4 is buggered, and seems to be getting worse everytime I have it fixed.
I had it optiflexed at the local dealers a while back, but it seems to have done nothing. They have suggested getting it done again.

Is optiflex a special audi thing; or is it just their brand name for 4 wheel alignment?

The car is well out of warranty, so I'm thinking about just ditching the dealer and going to a specialist alignment centre rather than the dealers.

Does anyone have any helpful comments or suggestions?

Perhaps worn shocks or suspension bushes are causing the issues. If there's too much play in the suspension components it doesn't matter how many times you get the tracking done, it will never drive perfectly. Would have thought the guys doing the tracking would mention it though.
